Research Focus
Paul focuses on the advancement of Web design methodology, the internationalization of Web site design, and the development of firms specializing in user experience.
Previous Work Experience
Prior to joining Forrester, Paul was a new media manager with Strategic Interactive Group (now Digitas), a full-service interactive architect. While at SIG, Paul helped to define business and marketing strategies determining clients' use of Internet technologies in bringing their goods and services to market. In this capacity, Paul dealt with many of the issues critical to the success of large-scale Web development efforts, including business case development, reorganization of corporate personnel, channel conflict management, and the international aspect of each of these factors. Paul was also involved in the tactical aspects of Web development, most notably managing the construction of a multilingual sales-generation site targeting users in North America and Europe.
Before working for SIG, Paul was part of SpyderByte Communications, a startup Web site developer and Internet access provider. While at SpyderByte, Paul developed the company's Web marketing capabilities, creating practices for Web-based media plans and buys.
Paul's experience with ground-level technical issues includes directing the technical support team for Bike'alog, a small software developer producing a comprehensive product database exclusive to the bicycle retailing industry.
Education
Paul holds a B.A. in English literature from Wake Forest University.
